Flipping the Ring Gear
Hey All; I'm picking up my brothers dune buggy this afternoon. It has a standard-rotation Dark Side Engine in it attached to a swing-arm transmission. It is starting to pop out of second gear so I'm looking to replace it. I have another swing-axle transmission but the ring gear is not "flipped&...

Re: Moab Event interest for 2017
We just had a GREAT week at Moab with other buggy folks. Here's a video of a trail that we took while traveling through Arches National Park. The wife is just OK at taking videos, but we sure had a BLAST. It's amazing what these things can do... https://youtu.be/PDxRUY7snzY Sounds like a good time!...

I'm liking all of this information. I never thought about putting the fuse panel in the rear. Would like to get a picture of that if possible. My wife's Turista is Lime Green under the newest paint also. Keep at it...

Re: how many club members drive offroad or oversand
Yep, we made it out of the water. However, due to the low sides the water is running through the buggy. My wife (it's her buggy) was screaming and laughing her head off. She loves this stuff...

Re: WTB: Sidewinder Exhaust (to Fix Up)
This is what mine looked like when I first got it. The hot jet coating crap doesn't hold up. I'm either going to get a new one or try and have this one recoated. It did last about 5 years before it started rusting through. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b304/fulsgld/Buggys/Turista/100_1322Small.j...

Rings and Things...
Hey All; I'm putting new cylinders, pistons and rings on an 1835 that I have. Does anyone have a spec on the various ring gaps??? Or, are they set by the factory when put together??? One person says that the arrow on the dome of the piston should point toward the flywheel side of the engine. Is this...

Re: Led replacement bulbs?
I have found that just having the incandescent bulb in flasher light in the stock speedometer is enough resistance to get the LED lights to work in both the front turn signals and the rear lights/turn signal/stop lights. I have used the stock flasher in a number of buggys with LED lights. I have als...
