Need to Change Front Suspension
Hey All; I bent my Turista's front beam last year at Moab. I'm heading back with the RBC this coming May, so I need to change out this beam. I have both a BJ beam and a Karman Ghia BJ Disc Brake beam available. I'm thinking the disc brake beam is the way to go. It will be easier to just replace with...

Re: RESORTER RESTORATION HELP
Hey Tim; Just noticed your message so sorry it has taken so long to get back with you. Here is a picture of the day I brought the Turista home from Mexico. You can see the original show bar and the arm rests that ID one of these special cars... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b304/fulsgld/Buggys/T...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!
Yep. If you look closely where the bar goes behind the rear passenger seat you can see where it ties into the engine cage. The body is sandwiched between two plates that are tied together with four 1/2" grade 8 bolts...

Re: Seattle
I was hoping to make the Death Valley Run in February, but my brother is in the hospital and he's the one that would be going with me. Now we're hoping to make the Moab Run in May. It's always a crap-shoot...

T3 Buggy
Hey All; I have this buggy that has had a T3 engine and transaxle stuffed into it. This is not right. The nose cone sticks up and is connected to the shifting rod via a real flaky connector. It has reverse, second, and then some other gear that I'm not too sure of yet. I have talked with a T3 expert...

Re: Fiber jet Rough Terrain build
Hey; This is looking GOOD! I'm going to try and follow this thread. I have one of these that is sitting in my driveway. I'm putting in a new dash and redoing the rear seat. Other than that (and maybe a set of 10" Cragers for the back) it's done. Keep posting pictures... What it looked like then...

Transaxle Popping Out of Gear
Hey All; I have a bus swingaxle (non-syncromesh and reduction gears have been removed for the Dark-Side engine) in a blue buggy that is starting to pop out of 1st gear. Anyone know what causes this and if it can be fixed??? Is there a shaft that might be bent or a gear that is worn out??? Or do I ju...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!
It's nice to finally have a rollbar. I went with the straight bars so I could use the stock roof. I had to put a 3" lift on the body so the straight bars would clear my head and give me a better view out the windshield. The front loop on my rollbar comes just to the top of the windshield also. ...

Ford and Chevy Rims
Hey All; I have a 71 chassis. My front adapters/rims have a Ford lug pattern. The rear adapters/rim are a Chevy lug pattern. I would like to see if there are brake drums available that come with these lug patterns or if there are blank ones where I can have these drilled into them. Are there any ven...
