Re: First Build thread of 2015 and of the new Forum - Lorett

I was recently called out on my not having updated this thread in over 6 months, so I though it time for that. It took me much, much longer to get her running and driving than I ever anticipated. There were numerous reasons for that. 1. I tend to research how to do something for 20 times longer than...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

So, I just checked the weather for this weekend, and while the temperature surely supports it, the precipitation will not support shooting. I have to shoot outside, and mother nature told me it's not going to happen this weekend. I will, however, get the front beam assembled and test fit it on the c...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

We had planned on Chevy pattern discs, adjustable beam, etc... Low and behold, I found an incredible deal last week on a 1971 chassis (same as she was already on), that had been fully stripped, new Wolfsburg West floorpans installed, King Kong torsion adjusters, a CB Performance 2" narrowed adj...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

As most of you know, Wesley is active duty Navy (we met while serving on the same submarine before I retired), and is out to sea for a couple of months, so his part is stalled right now at primer. 3893 So, Scarlett's body is currently sitting on her current chassis, and it's time for me to get some ...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

I'm liking all of this information. I never thought about putting the fuse panel in the rear. Would like to get a picture of that if possible. My wife's Turista is Lime Green under the newest paint also. Keep at it... Will do once we get it mounted. It will be a bit though. Wesley had to head out t...

Re: 2016 Manx Club Wall Calendars - In hand - Ready to Ship!

THANK YOU to all of you that purchased a calendar. We ended up doing a second order after selling 275 of them. MIke Dario will have them at the March events. I am no longer taking orders. I appreciate the overwhelming support from the Board of Directors and Club Members as well!

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

So while I was busy on the phone with Jeremy, Wesley was busy doing some actual work. He's completed the sanding and shooting some primer and slicksand. I have no clue as to how many hours of sanding he's spent, but he's had to get through ten different layers to get to the original Lime Green gelco...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

Getting some additional progress made. It's amazing how much I have to research just for small things, and it's certainly keeping me busy, trying to learn what I need to do to make sure the parts of the build I'm doing are done correctly. Spoke with Jeremy at Rebel Wiring over the last few days, and...

Re: Roy's Ecotec Manx I build completion

What hard top is that on his Manx? Not sure Brian. Here is Scott's thread on his Fun Hog, may tell what it is. I love the look of it. http://www.manxclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=645 I do as well. Going to take a look at this one that is similar this weekend. He's willing to separate the ...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

One of the other issues he ran into was a broken bit of fiberglass on the rear where the body bolts through the pan. The fiberglass on the Resorter is exceptionally thick, with the exception of the rear package tray and the where this break is. 3707 3712 This break received some fiberglass matting t...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

Wesley has been hard at it, and helping me figure out some engine issues at the same time. My current plan is to install an 1835 in Loretta, and put her engine in the Resorter, but all that is subject to change. I never know what the real plan is until it's done, so everything is up in the air. For ...
