Manx II #1493 Build
Spent the day stripping the underside of the body of accumulated grime and paint to get it ready for the last of the 'glass work and hopefully paint. I picked up a Harbor Freight soda blaster for $99 and a 50 lbs bag of XL blasting media, $35, and went to work. I have to say that I was really impres...

HF Soda Blaster
Picked up a HF 15 lb soda blaster today and have to say I was pretty impressed with the results. I used it to strip the bottom of the Manx II of all the grime and paint and it worked really well. I used up 1 50 lbs bag of the XL baking soda they sell and was able to strip most of the bottom of the b...

We are going to talk to them probably when I go up there the first of June. I was thinking of renting a buggy from them to drive around while I am up there.

Manx on the Banx
Hey Adam,
Talk with Vince on the t-shirts. His company may be willing to sponsor them for the event. How much lead time does the printer need? We will have early sign up going out possibly in June.
Thanks,

Looking good. I want your body, er, I mean the buggy body.
Wish the Meyers were still doing the original style bodies.

Picture of the 3 Piece Meyers Manx Hard Top ?
I spoke with Winnie about it when I needed one for my Manx and she told me it is basically their 1 piece, cut into three pieces. I was fortunate enough to find one a little closer to home.

I am planning to head up to Nags Head June 3-5 to check out the area with Vince and do some planning. If anyone wants to join us on June 4th, the Saturday, we could turn it into a little prerun. This would be real informal so let me know if you want to join us.

Yeah it is going to suck that my car will not be ready for the event, maybe next year. Speaking of, we need to find a ride for the Meyers. Anyone got a spare buggy they would like to loan Bruce & Winnie for the weekend?

Took a couple of days off to work on the buggy which meant my wife immediately filled them up with stuff to do around the house but I did managed to sneak out in the garage for a while and work on the hood. I did this part exactly one year ago yesterday: http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/654...
