Still not better. I swapped the distributpor with another and it is better, but not fixed. So the dumb que...

Pinewood derby
Well it was our first pinewood derby and I could not resist. It was deemed too good to be judged. Oh well had fun making it. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/carltonstetson/IMG_1725.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/carltonstetson/IMG_1727.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/ca...

Underbody finishing
my two cents. I went with bed liner on the interior. I love it. It feels good and it deadens the road noise and makes the floor "feel thicker". I also requested the company that applied the bed liner to apply it thick. On the bottom I was torn. Powder coating and bed liner would be great, ...

Well after many years finally made it to Pismo with the buggy. Went well. mid 70's not many people on the dunes. Really we were the only buggy there. Did not get stuck once and the Buggy did remarkably well. The only casulties were the Carbs. Got A good cleaning ahead. The Jet Doctors did thier job!...

If you have the rubber ones they do shrink, or harden a bit so that may be what is making the noise. On my 69 bug I replaced them in 96 and they did harden a bit after a few years.

A little ride through Ed Dorado County
Went on a ride Saturday through the south eastern El Dorado County between Mormon Emigrant Pass road and Hyw 89 nice country. Lots of downed trees from the winter and our initial route was shortened by snow still as low as 5000 ft or so making it a bit impassable. A bit of mud and not so much dust. ...

Engine runs rough - poor quality Bosch ignition wires?
Tom One thing I came across on mine was very suttle. The intake manifolds were not torqued properly (well they loosened them selves up) and had started taking a set to the gaskets (read grit had gotten in there and made matters worse). I had a very slight vac leak. Once I lapped the Intake surfaces ...
