How about admission to the Ghost Town? Will we have to pay at the gate since the event is held elsewhere?

The El Paso mountains area is full of dirt roads. That area was volcanic so pumice (dutch cleanser mine) and opal mines...

We're really glad you didn't get rained on. Sounds like you had a neat time of buggy-bonding. Thanks for posting the trip comments.

Borrego Badlands

Looks like my wife has now invited some folks to dinner Friday so even if the weather improves we're stuck at home. One other thing... Years ago we were camped in the Borrego badlands south of Ocotillo Wells when it started to rain. In a light rain a front of mud the consistency of plaster came down...

We've been sitting on the fence waiting for the latest weather info also. So far it's looking iffy. I already called the resort and canceled our reservation just in case. They said others had canceled also. I was looking forward to the run. Haven't been out overnight since Big Bear.

What's the truth?

Eventually some off-road moron will give them enough evidence to go before a judge and get the Mojave Rd closed. On a bigger scale about...

Old Towd... Once down the squeeze the other two obstacles you mention are inevitable unless you can get back up the squeeze. Cindy hinted she wanted me to do something more tame as an alternative to the above. Probably a combo of street and easy dirt. We plan to pre-run for new areas on Friday.

I'm going to post so there is some sort of count. We plan to arrive there Thursday to do some pre-running. Sometimes the non-official runs are the best.

You can remove the choke. That carb runs fine without it, just takes a few minutes longer to stabilize at idle.

If the stock stuff doesn't work you can try making them yourself. If you have access to a welder and a bender they aren't difficult.

I changed 4 lug Vair to 5 lug chevy a while back. If you get blanks and have a chevy pattern come on up and we can drill and tap them. Price is one burrito.
