Re: Type 1 starter motor

I have always run stock starters with no problems, but starting a new build and want to try a hytorqe starter. There are several to choose from. Just looking for brand names that others have had good luck with.

Re: Bounty Hunter is finally home

I assume you have visited other fourms for ideas? Some have lots of past builds.
In the Los Angeles Craigs List there is a Corvair to VW trans adapter? Good luck.

Re: Bounty Hunter is finally home

For me they are easy build and no exact blue print. They do always baffle me along the build. There are some Very good builders for help in this club. No matter what you plan to build there is someone one here thats done before. Kinda like hot rods and Harleys. Best part is you can do your way and c...

Re: Bounty Hunter is finally home

With your talents if we're me I would get running and driving while I form a plan. Then totally build a new car under that sweet body. Unless corvair suspension under buggies is a collector thing I would switch to all VW and hang that Corvair. That's why buggies are fun. Easy builds and you can do w...

Routing wires through tunnel?

I am thinking on buggy I have with a tunnel cutting a hole in top behind body front mount by pedals and running say 1 1/4 conduit to rear driver side trans leg.
Is there any do's or don't about doing this?
