Turnkey Manx sell a neat bracket thing that welds over the join to strengthen it. Looks a good solution.

No you're right it isn't a manx. I think the bonnet kit it meyers though

I don't think that's a monocoque. Looks like a meyers opening bonnet kit on a floor pan manx
