Hello, Like MojaveMel, I took the little Spring loaded piston doo-dah from an old car, and then cut a small disc of aluminum. Using nylon washers, nuts and bolts, I mounted the disc so it is insulated from the column. The wire from the horn button goes to the pis...
I went to the junk yard and took the copper horn commentator ring off an old car and mounted it on the steering shaft of the buggy. It has a little spring loaded piston that mounts on the frame that makes contact with the copper ring whereever it turns. It took a l...

I have a grent wheel and I really want to have the horn button in the center of it, but once I got it all hoooked up I realized the wire was going to wind all around the steering column whenever I turn. Is there anything I can do outside of...

Interesting story, I was out on a short run the other night and noticed my altnerator light would come on whenever my engine RPMs would go up (I'm still watching everything ver...

I built my own stocker, but when I want to upgrade to a high performance engine, I'm probably going to go with something from these guys: http://www.cbperformance.com/turnkeys.asp

OMG it works!

Just wanted to report in that I finished my engine rebuild today and it's running great! I was so nervous during the initial startup that something was going to go horribly wrong. But now I've got the timing and idle set, I revved it up and down for 15 minutes or so, then changed the oil and replace...

Thanks Tom. It certainly looks great considering it's cheap Home Depot carpeting. HOpefully I can get results even close to as good as yours. Is the carpet that's no on the tunnel also attached with adhesive?

What's with the moderator approval?

Oh man, this is getting worse and worse. Moderator approved posting is my number one approved forum pet peeve. If this isn't changed I will be leaving the club and no longer visiting these forums.

Guys, please take the forum out of the frame

Ok, having the forum appear inside the fram of the manxclub website makes the forum to small and his highly annoying. Please have the "Forums" link pop up a new window dedicated to just the forum.
Sounds like you're coming along nicely. I hope soon to read of your first start. It's scary and exhilarating at the same time. Turning the key and cranking up the RPMs is the hardest part. After that it's just cake.
Yeah, I'm allready getting very nervous about that.

Slow night here tonight! Anyway, I think I found most of my answers.. However, I may have asked them to late. I've allready mated my case halves together and put the pistons, cylinders and heads on. Is it possible to replace the oil pump with a full flow model without splitting the case apart again?
