LED Tail light upgrade

I have seen this units advertised before and wondered how bright they are?  They look to have 13 SMDs(?).  Has anybody tried a pair ?  Given the circuit board electronics visible, I assume they work with out any additional resistors.  Speaking of circuit boards, you would want to make sure your lens...

Need information on "Bullet"-type front turn signa

ManxRob, I have given consideration to the Lucas lights. They are a good fit for the Manx and they must be well-made and reliable as I believe they are also used on Cobra Kit cars. However, as you have a preference for them, I have the same for the "bullet" design lights. Thanks for taking...

Lee and David,

Would you please see the picture below and tell me
if this is the type of signal you used on your Manx?

If so, how does it mount to the fender?

Need information on "Bullet"-type front turn signa

Does anyone know exactly which model year/s Ghia(?) or Type 3(?) "bullet" shaped front turn signal light assemblies fit the flat surface on the Manx front fender just beneath and slightly outboard of the headlight?  I know some are not flat enough to use, but I don't know which fit the su...

Dual 40mm Carbs?

As I understand it, the currently available Weber dual 40mm carbs are made in Spain (?) and their quality is considered to be less then when they were made in Italy. So, I'm looking at the EMPI dual 40mm carbs (made in China and $250-300 less a kit then the Webers) and wond...

Don Giovanoni's Siggy Manx at FunFest 2008

We had a great time at FunFest 2008. Met Don Giovanoni and his wife, and was with them when Bruce Meyers paid a surprise visit on Sunday. His Signature Manx 74 is very well made in the Classic-style and Don deserved to be honored by Bruce as having the best Manx. http://www.tea...

Engine Fan Shroud Screen

Looking for good ideas on attaching the debris screen to the doghouse fan shroud. (See picture below.) Is welding a sheet metal lip around the inlet hole the best way ? What about clearance to the Manx body? Does anyone know the space measurement? Thanks for any help you can give. http://www.teampen...

Classic Manx Blinkers

I think, besides the Type1 turn signals, (top of fender mount), the others (bullet-type) used on the old/classic (1960s) manxes were Ghia or Type3. Does anyone know the exact year/years for the Ghia and for the Type3?

Gary, sorry I can't help you on the fire extinguisher mount issue, (haven't got that far yet with my build), but sure would appreciate some specifics on your seat belt roll bar anchor mounting, e.g., threaded or bolted, size and strength rating of hardware, did you maintain some rotati...
