ADVISEMENTS:
A Forest Service “Adventure Pass” is advisable. One can be purchased at the Discovery Center in Big Bear or at major Sporting Goods stores. CB’s are required. Prepare a sack lunch for the trail on Saturday.
Due to recent fire restrictions campfires, open flames or BBQ’s not permitted at the campground. Cigarettes to be extinguished in ashtrays only. Speed limit in camp is 5 MPH.
Pets must be on a leash. Because of the tradition of its founders alcohol, drugs and profanity are not permitted by Camp Tanda. Please do not throw “empties” in the camp trash.
Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Please abide by the rules set by Camp Tanda.

TRAILS and RATINGS:
We will have three different types of trails running simultaneously on Saturday. Scenic Cruisers (pavement only), Average Adventurers (medium to little difficulty), and “Thrill Seekers” (most difficult). Those opting for the most difficult trail must have a skid plate and a working emergency brake. The “Average Adventurers” will be divided among several different trails. For a fourth run option see below.

NEW NEW NEW:

1.) If there is enough interest we plan to do a GPS poker run. Bring your GPS and latitude/longitude trail maps. This run will have a buy-in of $20. You will need to find various GPS sites located around the mountain to obtain cards for a poker hand. This run will not have a leader. You do it on your own or join up with others. Nice prize for the best hand. Sign-up sheets for all runs at registration desk.

2.) Potluck Mixer at Tanda Saturday night 6:00 PM with the Awards Presentation to follow. We tried the potluck at the last Lone Pine run and it was a huge success. Along with a main dish, dessert, or salad bring your own service, drink, plate, and chair. Don’t want to cook? KFC, pizza, salad, etc..
No alcohol allowed at Tanda, but we should be done early enough so folks can head out for their favorite beverage. Doing the awards ceremony Saturday PM will leave more time for a run or ??? on Sunday morning.

3.) Run Specific T-Shirt. We are going to do custom artwork T-Shirts for the Big Bear Bash. Shirts will be Beefy-T or equal, ash in color and planned design for the back is a light colored bear paw background (Big Bear type logo) with “Old Red” in the foreground. Big Bear Bash ‘08 across the back. Front left will have Manx Club ID. These are on a per-order basis only. Order now and pick-up at the registration table. See registration form to order correct sizes.

4.) *Price Reduction from $50 to $40. We may be cutting it close, but in theory more people can come if we help offset the price of gas. If we get a few more buggies and people because of a lower price this strategy will work! Join us!

5.) Impromptu Swap Meet: Buggy related parts collecting dust in the garage? Bring them for an impromptu swap meet Friday PM, or put a sign on them by your campsite.
